twelve hours in the car tomorrow, just me and my stuff. couple-night pit stop to snuggle in a lakeside hammock with girlfriends i've missed all year. six more hours on the road sunday and i'll find myself at the very bottom of the sunshine state, closer to realizing my florida key dreams. see you soon!

happy saturday, dolls! did you guys figure out that my "roadtrip" is actually a big move? it is, and it's happening friday! i'm elated. until then, i'm scrambling around here. packing again, loading the vintage shop up with pretties that i might otherwise keep in my personal wardrobe, and trying to figure out what amazing virginia beach highlights i've not yet experienced (like running into timbaland... still working on it). the weather here has been phenomenal, and the blossoming trees everywhere are blowing my mind. feels like a beautiful send-off just for me!
anyway! the entire shop is now 50% off, something i've only done once before and probably won't do again! use code MUSTGO at checkout! you've got 'til wednesday night. you're the best.

i freaked when i found wild life prints on etsy recently. (i believe the subject line of the email i sent to mark was something like "asfghjkl". i freaked.) i have grand dreams of collecting the most epic mini animal menagerie for my future kiddo (i love this tradition). these prints make me so happy- the tiny eames!- and i'm only showing you a fraction of the goodness that is this sweet shop. i'm super nesty right now, and it's going to be hard not to cover an entire wall in these babies. perfect wednesday pick-me-up, yeah?

i woke up tuesday morning with one thing on my mind: pancakes. and i knew exactly where to get them. when my boyfriend flew up from florida to meet my family in january, we adventured all over town and discovered a funny little breakfast spot that turned out to be one of those food network legends. we loved it-- we ate there twice in a week! hands down the most delicious pancakes i've ever had, and i fancy myself sort of a connoisseur. it's the kind of touristy place where a 45-minute wait is the norm in the summer, and the native american decor (it's called pocahontas pancake shop, afterall) keeps your eyes wandering as you shovel syrupy goodness into your mouth. on visit two, things got serious and we decided it would be our spot- that forever, when we're in town visiting my parents, we'll make sure we stop there. but tuesday i went alone. alone, alone. i was the only person in the entire place, and i thought about how much i love the beach off-season, with its ghost town streets and brutally cold sea breezes. i missed mark and felt pretty sneaky going without him... but he's forgiven me. one woman adventures are sometimes the very best kind.

so happy to see spring lines rolling into every sort of store. shorter sleeves, pastel candy, gardening tools and barbeque accoutrements. hints that it's time to start thinking about eating/playing/loving outdoors. i'm ready! i was already picnicking this time last year, afterall. i've nearly had a complete year of perfectly defined seasons, and it's been pretty remarkable! here's to a slow and beautiful transition from winter to spring for us northerners, and a few images i've pinned lately to get you all twitterpated.
